Team CBS (as they call themselves until they come up with something better) from the left: Andreas Holmbom, Awais Shafique, Katja Eberhardt & Jon Rud doing thir final practice case before the competition.

The four carefully selected CBS-students to compete in CBS Case Competition against 11 other elite teams of undergraduates from universities and business schools all over the world have been practicing diligently up to the competition.

The four students who will represent CBS at this year’s Case Competition are Andreas Holmbom (BSc, International Business), Awais Shafique (BSc. International Business), Jon Rud (BSc. Economics and Business Administration) and Katja Skau Eberhardt (BSc. International Business).

Up to the competition the team has been training hard under the auspices of some of the most prestigious consultancy firms in Copenhagen, solving practice business cases under the supervision of CBS Case Coach Patricia Plackett, who is responsible for selecting and coaching student participants to represent CBS in case competitions all around the world.

The question is whether the team’s efforts will be enough to win the prestigious competition. Last time a Team CBS won our own case competition was in 2004.

- I very much look forward to meeting and competing against students from some of the world’s best business schools. The competition is going to be tough, and we have gallons of coffee waiting ahead of us, but I look forward to an amazing week and, of course, hope that we can emerge victorious on our home turf, Team CBS participant Andreas Holmbom says about his expectations.
