Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, has been a speaker at the St Gallen Symposium. This year, you can get to meet former Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen.

Now you have the chance to become a ’leader of tomorrow’ at the St Gallen Symposium, which takes place from May 6th to May 8th. The event gathers decision-makers and young talents from all over the world under the theme ‘Proudly Small’. Your ticket to the symposium is to participate in and win the global essay competition. 

The 45th edition of the St Gallen Symposium, which claims to be the gathering point for world leaders of today and tomorrow, takes place from May 6th to May 8th at the St Gallen University in Switzerland and the debates at the event will revolve around leadership, politics, and society.

Now you have the opportunity to participate – and it is even free of charge.                                                            

Free trip to the symposium of leaders of tomorrow

As precursors to the symposium, the St Gallen Wings of Excellence Prize of EUR 20,000 will be awarded, and the global essay competition will be held with the winners receiving a free trip to the symposium.

If you are interested in participating in the competition you must write a contribution in the form of an essay. However, in the case essays are not your thing, you can opt to make a PowerPoint presentation or a video.

Both graduates and postgraduates are encouraged to participate in the competition, which awards the best 100 contributors with a free trip to this year’s St Gallen Symposium. 

Get to meet several world leaders

The student committee organizing this year’s symposium expects 200 young talents and more than 600 international decision-makers to participate in the event – among others, former Danish Prime Minister, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, will participate in St Gallen.
